ASUS revealed its new ZenScreen Fold OLED MQ17QH portable display, with a large 17.3-inch OLED display for on-the-go use alongside your laptop.

The new ASUS ZenScreen Fold OLED MQ17QH, when it's put into landscape orientation, offers a beautifully tall 2560 x 1920 resolution, providing more vertical pixels than you'd get with a 4K display in landscape (with its 2160 pixels high). The ZenScreen Fold OLED is a premium experience that is now offering portable OLED goodness with cinema-grade DCI-P3 color gamut for bold, beautiful colors.

Suppose you're sitting somewhere you've got ambient light coming in, for example. In that case, if you're sitting on your lounge or at the table with natural light coming in, you won't need to worry about losing that OLED beauty, as you'll still enjoy inky blacks and excellent contrast.

Samsung showed off the world's first transparent Micro-LED display at CES 2024, joining the transparent display party with South Korean display rival LG. Check it out:

Samsung's new transparent Micro-LED display wasn't much more than a technology demo at CES 2024, as the South Korean company wasn't clear on when its transparent Micro-LED display would hit the market. Samsung showed off the new transparent Micro-LED display side-by-side with transparent OLED and transparent LCD displays so that CES 2024 showgoers could see the difference.

Engadget was on the ground at CES 2024, reporting that "not only was the MicroLED panel significantly brighter, it also featured a completely frameless design and a more transparent glass panel that made it easier to see objects behind it".

Starting things off with an ultrawide, the PG034QRS2A, is a 34 inch OLED gaming monitor running at 3440 x 1440 at an impressive 240Hz. Having a curvature of 1800R means the curve is subtle but still will provide a level of immersion. An HDR 400 certification with 300 nits of brightness will be good for HDR content, however the 34 inch monitor does have a DCI-P3 color space of 99%. Next up is the PG027QFW2A, a 27 inch flat OLED display running at an eye blistering 360Hz while running at 2560 x 1440. Response time is at 0.03ms GTG and is rated at HDR400 with 250 nits of brightness. Availability and pricing is unknown at this time.

The PG32QRT2A is a VA 1000R curved gaming monitor with a 180Hz refresh rate while running HDR 400 with 400 nits of brightness running at QHD resolution. The color space is limited to 72% NTSC, so color accuracy is not as good as the others. Availability and pricing is unknown at this time.

A new range of OLED gaming monitors was unveiled by GIGABYTE at CES 2024, and one, in particular, is a world first, according to the company.

GIGABYTE is expanding its gaming monitor offerings with a new line of OLED displays that range from 27 inches to 34 inches. The world's first display is the 32-inch AORUS FO32U2P, the first DP 2.1 UHBR20 tactical gaming monitor, pushing an impressive 80 Gbps bandwidth without Display Stream Compression. GIGABYTE states in its press release that this bandwidth is 2.5 times more than the previous generation DP 1.4 HBR3.

Additionally, the FO32U2P is a QD-OLED panel that features a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, and a color gamut of 99% DCI-P3. Furthermore, GIGABYTE's world's first display features a 0.03ms GtG response time, a 240Hz refresh rate, and GIGABYTE's proprietary AI-driven OLED Care technology that automatically conducts routine OLED maintenance, reducing burn-in.

GIGABYTE has showcased its newest addition to its line-up of gaming monitors at CES 2024 - introducing the CO49DQ.

CES 2024 was littered with super ultrawide announcements from many well-known gaming monitor brands such as Samsung, Acer, and LG. GIGABYTE has thrown its own hat in the ring with the announcement for CO49DQ, a 49-inch OLED gaming monitor that features a double quad HD display (DQHD), or a resolution of 5120 x 1440, which is the same as two 2560 x 1440p displays next to each other.

The CO49DQ has a 144Hz refresh rate, a 0.03ms response time, 10-bit color, and a 99% DCI-P3 color gamut. The CO49DQ weighs 24.9 pounds, and according to reports, when GIGABYTE releases the new gaming monitor, it will come with a price tag of $1,299. However, PC World notes that there is a chance that it will launch at a much lower price tag. As for other specifications, the CO49DQ uses an AI algorithm to minimize the risk of burn-in issues.

There was a time when 3D displays were considered the next big thing; you put on a pair of glasses and bask in the magic of blue aliens fighting humans on a lush jungle planet from the comfort of your chair or couch. 3D-capable displays are far and few between, but at CES 2024, Samsung is showcasing a concept for a glasses-free 3D monitor with eye and head tracking.

Still in the concept stage of development, it's called the 'Samsung 2D/3D monitor' (definitely a placeholder) - it can take any 2D image and transform it into a full-3D presentation that leaps out of the display. It's designed primarily for PC gaming, and at CES 2024, Samsung is presenting its 2D to 3D monitor with the popular action RPG Lies of P, released in 2023.

It's also compatible with SteamVR and VR games, and it can play VR games without a headset.

While visiting GIGABYTE's CES 2024 suite at the Venetian for CES 2024 in Las Vegas, we found that GIGABYTE has been hard at work with their gaming monitor development. Panasonic has just announced a couple of new OLED TVs that have Amazon Fire TV built-in, the world's first OLED TVs with Fire TV built into the TV itself. Check it out:

The new OLED TVs come in the form of the Panasonic Z95A which is available in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes, while the Panasonic Z93A arrives in a bigger 77-inch 4K OLED TV. Panasonic's new Z95A and Z93A OLED TVs have a brand-new chipset with brighter panel goodness, with Dolby Vision IQTM Precision making sure you get superior picture enhancements and brightness.

Panasonic's new OLED TVs also have 360 Soundscape Pro, which is "meticulously tuned" by Technics, ensuring immersive 3D surround sound on the audio side of things. Panasonic's new flagship OLED TVs also have 4K 144Hz support for high-end PC gaming, thanks to the new HCX Pro AI Processor MK II inside of the new Z95A and Z93A OLED TVs.

LG has been working on transparent OLED technology for a while now, showing off its new Signature OLED T at CES 2024 with a 77-inch transparent OLED panel. Check it out in all its transparent glory:

LG's new flagship Signature OLED T features a 77-inch transparent 4K OLED panel that blends beautifully into its environment, unlike regular TVs that stand out like a sore thumb. LG used its new Signature OLED T 77-inch transparent OLED TV to show off images and animations at CES 2024, letting viewers see through most (but not all) of the TV.

The new Signature OLED T can also display information at the bottom of the TV with its always-on feature, displaying things like news headlines, weather updates, and song titles when you're streaming music through the TV. LG includes an opaque mode that raises the contrast on the screen, turning it into a more normal 77-inch 4K OLED TV, if that's what you want when you're spending big money on a transparent OLED.

TCL announced its mega-sized 115-inch QM891G TV at CES 2024, offering one of the biggest and best TVs that we've seen (well, not literally, but you know what we mean).

The company developed a new AIPQ Ultra processor, which TCL is exclusively using inside of the new QM891G TV TCL USA's VP of Product Marketing and Development, Scott Ramirez, explains that the new processor makes sure users get "clean, precise, pristine image quality".

TCL isn't just using a Mini-LED backlight with its new QM891G TV, but the company has thrown in Quantum Dot technology as well for even better colors. TCL says that its new TV can accurately reproduce 98% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum. On the audio side of things, TCL's new QM891G features an integrated 6.2.2-channel sound system that features dedicated up-firing speakers and Dolby Atmos support.
