GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER price drops below MSRP one month after launch
The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER has only been out for about a month, but we've already got a model available for below the $599 USD MSRP. The model in question is the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Twin Edge 12GB GDDR6X, available via Amazon and Newegg for $589.99.
It's not a massive discount, but you're looking at one of the best-value GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs currently available. The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER offers 20% more CUDA Cores, RT Cores (ray-tracing), and AI Tensor Cores than the baseline GeForce RTX 4070.
The result is 10-15% faster 1440p and 4K gaming compared to the GeForce RTX 4070, which is enough bump to put it into GeForce RTX 3090 territory. On average, the new Ada Lovelace architecture uses around 40% less power when gaming than the previous-gen flagship.

NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs to arrive in 2024 leaker insists - don't believe the delay to 2025 rumors
NVIDIA's next-gen graphics cards are not in danger of sliding to 2025, as some other recent rumors have suggested, according to fresh word from the grapevine.
This comes from Moore's Law is Dead (MLID), and we need to set a quick bit of background here for the context of this comment on the subject of NVIDIA - as it came as a brief, but interesting, aside, as part of the latest chatter from the rumor mill on Intel's Battlemage GPUs.
Basically, MLID was making it clear that there were certain rumors floating around hyping up Battlemage and that the GPUs could be inbound relatively soon, whereas the YouTuber believes this is not the case at all.
AMD RX 7900 GRE GPU goes on sale in the UK, fueling rumors that it's due for a US launch soon
AMD's RX 7900 GRE, the alternative spin on the RX 7900 for China (GRE stands for 'Golden Rabbit Edition') has come to another marketplace - the UK - making a previously rumored US launch look more likely.
If you've been following the tale (or should that be tail?) of the RX 7900 GRE, after the graphics card's launch in China, it went on sale in Europe. As VideoCardz pointed out, the GPU has been on shelves in Germany and Italy, and just cropped up in the UK as TechPowerup noticed.
The UK retailer selling the RX 7900 GRE - which sits just under the 7900 XT - is AWD-IT, but it seems that the XFX model being sold went out of stock quickly. (Even though the pricing wasn't appealing at all - ironic as it was highlighted via a popular UK deals website).
This iPhone 16 leak suggests a big Apple Vision Pro-inspired camera change is coming
The Apple iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are not expected to be announced until this coming September but there are already rumors about what the new handsets will have to offer and which features buyers can look forward to. The iPhone 15 and iPHone 15 Plus have only been on sale for a few months, but that was never going to stop the rumors from circulating
One of those rumors suggested that Apple would choose to change the layout of the back of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus to put its two cameras into a vertical orientation. The change would mean ditching the familiar diagonal setup, but it's a switch that is about more than aesthetics and a new leak appears to have confirmed the change is coming.
A new part leak by the X leaker Majin Bu appears to show the chassis that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus cameras will be mounted in and sure enough, they have a vertical orientation. But what makes that so important is the fact that it would put the two cameras in a horizontal orientation when the iPhone is turned on its side - just like the Pro iPhones.
The Apple Vision Pro isn't being returned as much as you might think, report hints
The Apple Vision Pro has now been on sale for a day beyond the two-week return window that would apply to those who bought the headset on launch day which means that people have had to choose whether or not to hand it back. Priced starting from $3,499 there is no doubt that people are unlikely to keep the Apple Vision Pro unless they are sold on it completely, so it was always going to be interesting to see how many people kept it and how many just bought it for launch day clout on social media.
With that in mind, it was interesting to see how many people decided to take their Apple Vision Pro back to the Apple Store before the weekend rolled around while there were plenty of people posting on the X social network, a new report claims that the number of returned headsets isn't as high as you might think.
According to an Apple Insider report, Apple Stores haven't seen all that many new headsets returned before that 14-day return window closed. The report cited sources at 24 mostly US East Coast stores when it said that there doesn't appear to be much in the way of returns. It's "certainly not a cataclysmic flood," we're told.
Apple's iOS 17.3.1 is now the only software your iPhone can install until 17.4 arrives
If you own an iPhone and want to install the iOS 17.3 update, you're now unfortunately out of luck. Apple is no longer allowing people to do that which means that iPhone owners have just a single release to choose from - it's iOS 17.3.1 or nothing, at least for now.
The change comes a week or so after Apple released iOS 17.3.1 to the public, an update that didn't bring any new features to the mix but did add a bug fix. That fix was related to a situation that could reportedly cause unexpected duplication or overlapping of text when typing, an issue that could be particularly irritating for those who suffered from it.
However, those who would prefer to install iOS 17.3 are now unable to do so after Apple stopped signing the update. Installing a version of iOS requires that it be authenticated by Apple and if that isn't the case, it can't be installed. Apple regularly stops signing older versions of iOS to ensure that people cannot install older, less secure versions of the iPhone's software. That can be vital to stopping people from jailbreaking or simply exploiting an old bug to gain access to an iPhone and its data.

NVIDIA RTX 5000 GPUs could be 60% faster - and 2.5x for RT - but may not arrive until Q2 2025
We're witnessing a fairly steady flow of rumors around NVIDIA's RTX 5000 GPUs of late - or whatever Blackwell ends up being called - and the latest batch comes from a YouTube leaker.
This is RedGamingTech (RGT) who has been tapping sources to get fresh info on purported specs for Blackwell graphics cards, as well as news on the likely release timeframe.
Obviously as with any rumor, take all this with plenty of seasoning, and the caveat that even if these are NVIDIA's current plans being relayed back accurately, the relevant specs and other details may change as Blackwell is further developed.
Ever wanted to play a PvP version of Home Alone? RBO is coming from the maker of Hello Neighbor
RBO is a new game that's popped up on Steam and it's a sort of PvP version of Home Alone in a nutshell, from the maker of, and very much in the same vein as, Hello Neighbor.
Home Alone is a classic film (meaning it's terrible, like a good few classic films - though not all by any means, of course), but it looks like it'll translate into a rather smart multiplayer game.
The setup is, well, Home Alone, with one person, the 'protector' cast as the homeowner, and the others are 'intruders' who are trying to steal loot from the house.
No Man's Sky - regarded as the greatest gaming comeback ever by some - is free this weekend
No Man's Sky has a new update and the game will be free to play over the coming weekend, if you've never tried it, and wondered what all the fuss was about.
The expansive survival game set in space actually launched way back in 2016 - can you believe it was that long ago? - but has just got an expansion.
And with this Omega update, the publisher of No Man's Sky has made it so anyone can jump on and play, for free, from now until February 19. So you've got the entire weekend to get stuck in, see as much as you can, and work out whether this game is for you.
